A heartbroken musical love letter to David Bowie, written in the weeks after he passed. I envisioned him becoming energy; he's the rain on our skin, he's the gold butterfly, the soaring bluebird, he's the clouds in the sky. And to bear the loss, I took his advice regarding his own father's passing decades before. I just have to believe that he's off on holiday now, writing a new record or just enjoying some quiet time. No matter where you are Mister Jones, everyone says hi. We love you, we miss you, we thank you.
lyrics
Cracked and unglued
The world went looking for you
But then out of thin air, we see you everywhere
Now we just don’t know what we should do
CHORUS
But here’s what we know, is true Mister Jones
That we really love you.
With a head full of stars
We know where you are
And we really love you.
Now you’re a blue butterfly
And all the clouds in the sky.
You’re the sound of the wind
And all the rain on our skin
You’re the bluebird that soars out of sight.
CHORUS
Now the world feels different
Without you here moving in it
So when love is a star
We’ll look up, there you are!
CHORUS
Everyone says hi
We love you, we miss you, we thank you.
